Elfreda’s passion for education carried into the private sector, where she was Senior Vice President at Blackboard Connect, Vice President for Professional Development and Vice President for Strategic Alliances at Harcourt Achieve, and Chief Development Officer at Global Partnership Schools. An active member of her community, Elfreda has served on the boards at the Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.; Reid Temple Christian Academy in Glendale, Maryland; and New York University’s Metropolitan Center for Urban Education.
